Palo Alto’s big Summer Share Faire at Common Ground Garden on August 5, is open to all. So far, we have the following skill shares confirmed:

  • Threshing, Winnowing and Milling Grains
  • Building fairy gardens

There will be more! Remember, this is an old-style Faire, with lots of goods shared – garden, books, tools, clothes, household items and more – but make sure to find a good home for what you share!

DANZA FOLKLORICA WORKSHOP

In conjunction with Casa Circulo Cultural, the San Mateo County History Museum will present a Danza Folklórica workshop as part of its “Hands-On History” program on August 5, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Maestro Omar Quezada, director of Danza y Educación Artística de Tierra Mestiza Ballet de Los Angeles and Casa Círculo Cultural LA will lead a workshop in Danza Folklórica. A traditional Mexican dance, the folklore, costumes, colors, steps and many other elements represent Mexican culture. Participants will learn the steps create costume elements to be worn during the dance. The workshop is intended for kids over the age of eight and adults who enjoy dancing.

ALOHA FESTIVAL
